A recent survey showed most small business owners think referrals and recommendations are the best way to connect with their ideal clients.
And yet, conversations I've had with these business owners reveals despite the benefits of word of mouth marketing, they tend not to put much time and effort into tending referrals.
There are good reasons people avoid word of mouth marketing: it takes time, feels icky (leads groups), and no one wants to ask people for support.
I share some strategies I use to make word of mouth marketing less awkward, more fun and more rewarding.
